My babies are both home for the holidays!

Jess arrived home yesterday morning..we went on a whirlwind shopping trip, then came home for the evening. Here's a picture of Jess and Jon playing Nintendo "donkey kong" and having a ball!

We had dinner, did the hot tub, and later I played Monopoly with the kids till 11:30pm. So good to have them home safe and sound!

We are all off to the Buchanans tonite for a Christmas dinner, gift exchange.

I spoke with Aunt Marilyn this AM, she was too busy to send Christmas cards this year....being a grandmom is keeping her busy! She's off to Kerry's Christmas Eve. Jon Thomas is doing well...

Our little baby who was at our house for awhile had surgery today for pyloric stenosis. he'll be in the hopitla a couple days, then home, and no more throwing up, we hope! He's had a rough time these past few days!

See ya

Santa finally took Karen out to the jewelry store today and let her pick out her gift.  She got diamond earrings.  Small little circles with diamonds encrusted, sort of like her wedding band. Then, we went shopping for me, and I came home with new sneakers from the Nike outlet.  She informed me my presents have been bought and wrapped weeks ago.  She's a bit more organized. Off to work today 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

We're having Christmas eve at our house. Karen's mom and at least two of the three sisters.  Got my Costco shrimp and meatballs today.  Also, bought my first ever block of cheese from Costco. They had a stand set up near the wine and claimed it's fresh parmesan cheese just flown in from Italy the night before.  I'm no cheese expert, but the stuff tasted good, even after I had just got done sampling at a fudge station!  Love that place.

Off to work!

Hi all... here's a quick collage I did for a friend's wife's brother who played on the Hornets football team in Orlando back in 1983.  She wanted a collage of some high school yearbook pics, newspaper clippings, etc.  If you click the image, it should enlarge in a separate browser window.
I'm off to work 3 p.m. till 9 p.m. Karen and I got all the cards out and now it's almost time for me to go out and start shopping for her gift.  Just like Jack P. Holmes when mom would say, "there's nothing out there left that I would want, all the other husbands already scooped it up for their wives!"
Looking like I'll be working the pool bar day on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve which is great because I don't have to be stuck working there till Midnight or later on those two nights. I will have to work Christmas day starting at 4 p.m till Midnight.  I'll try and get my calls in early!

Cathey and Ed Lozick came to the bar today and I presented them with the book. Cathey cried on nearly every page and Dulcie said Ed look like he had tears in his eyes as well!  They both came inside where I was working and hugged me.  Cathey ordered three more, one for each of their kids who will be visiting them next week for Christmas.  What a rewarding experience to see a couple, who can afford just about anything in life, and have lived it to the fullest, become so emotional over a little photo book from my computer! I'm very happy about it.
I would like to pitch it to Lago Mar and/or other resorts where I tell them all the beautiful stock postcard-like photos are already in place throughout the book, and all we need is guests, or conventioneers, to send us 10 or so photos of their visit, and I could whip a book out in no time, since all the ground work taking the property photos is already done.  Ed suggested giving each guest a disposable digital camera and having them drop it off at the desk when they check out with an order form for the photo book.  Not a bad idea... great to get repeat convention business, tourists, and members who have family in town, like the book I did for the Lozicks.
Tonight I have one final project to get done for Christmas.  My friend Sparky's wife wants a collage of old photos of her brother from his days playing football in High School.  Newspaper articles, sports photos, team photo, etc.  all merged into one.  By the way, the other photo here is a collage I did for Sparky when he caddied for Chi-Chi Rodriguez back in the late 70's. He got Chi-Chi to autograph it 30 years later, about a month ago! Click photo for larger view.

Hi all.  A little cold snap here is S. Florida just in time for the holidays.  Highs only to 69 yesterday, and lows got to 48 degrees.  Great to see all the lights up at night with a chill in the air.  Here's a link to all the Toga Party festivities photos:
Also, an oldie but goodie video of Karen and I at the Bellaggio Fountains in Las Vegas after I proposed to her can be found at:
Today I'm off to work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  I'm excited because the couple I prepared the photo book for at Lago Mar (celebrating Ed's 70 Birthday weekend) are coming over for lunch and I'm giving it to them.  I ordered a backup copy for myself that I plan to show everyone around there, because just about everyone knows this couple.  Doing my best to create a "buzz" about 101photoservices.com
Off to work.... enjoy your Tuesday...
